As you may have seen from our social media, we are thrilled to confirm that we were chosen as a top ten Screwfix tradesperson of the year 2020. There were over 2,500 entries from across the UK and Adriano Nocera co-owner of Allbright Property Maintenance was chosen to be in the top 10. We were absolutely over the moon when we found out and we floated on Cloud-Nine for a while.
Here at Allbright Property Maintenance, we are so lucky to have so many amazing customers that are happy with the work we have done. The tough part was choosing which 2 of them we would give as references for the judges to call. We would like to take this chance to thank all our customers that have used us, recommended us and left testimonials for us. We are so grateful.
The judges chose their finalists based on how tradespeople adapted to changes including CPD regulations, changing tastes of customers and the embracing of new technology. How dedicated and professional we are with regards to trade body memberships, customer service levels and qualifications were reviewed by judges too. The judging process also looked at how we go above the call of duty, how we support the local community, invest in the future of the trade and overcome diversity.
We applied for Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2020 online with an application. There were over 2,500 applications altogether. These applications were reviewed, and we were chosen to be in the final 35. We were then interviewed via online video and were chosen to be in the ten finalists for Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2020. It was lovely to see that Peterborough Matters picked up this story and shared it with their readers online.
We were then interviewed and photographed for the press and found ourselves on the local radio with Kev Lawrence, in the Peterborough Evening Telegraph and even the Daily Star! You may have seen the links and photos on our social media.
Along with the nine other finalists we took part in a two-day event that was co-hosted with Google. The two-day workshop with Google was really good. We were reminded of all the amazing Google reviews our clients have left for us and the amazing feedback we get on Facebook. Our website was praised for the excellent quality of work we show in our pictures and how we help our customers and go that extra mile. We were proud to have our website and blogs shown as ‘how it should be done to the other finalists.
Adriano was then interviewed by a panel of industry judges. These included representatives from Screwfix, CIPHE, NICEIC, FMB and the 2019 winner, Darren McGhee. The final day of the competition for Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2020 was 2nd October when the winner was announced live.
Unfortunately, this was to be the end of our journey. However, we are still thrilled to be in the ten finalists for Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2020. We had some amazing praise and useful feedback from the judges and throughout the judging process and sessions with Google. It has been an amazing experience for us all and one we will never forget.
We gained lots of valuable training and coaching from some industry experts and a goodie bag full of Screwfix treats along with a voucher for £200. While of course, we would have loved to have won, we are still proud to be a top ten Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2020 from over 2,500 entrants across the UK. It’s quite the accolade.
